Vida Igličar is a young, aspiring graphic designer and illustrator, who returned home to Slovenia after graduating from De Montfort University, Leicester. She works in the advertising industry and her creations are increasingly known to all lovers of illustration and lettering. In her work she loves to combine watercolours, pastel tones, lettering and minimalistic design. Studying abroad faced her with many opportunities as well as challenges. She was a recipient of Slovenian Ministry of Culture’s scholarship, was named top student on the course, received numerous awards and gained experience in several British studios. Her first illustrated children’s book was published last year and one can find her prints and illustrations in many Slovenian shops. “My plans for the future are not set in stone. Combining agency work and personal illustration based projects suits me perfectly at the moment. As long as I feel passionate about my work and lack time rather than ideas, I believe I am on the right way.”
